Pure Sweetgrass braid, grown in Canada. Sweetgrass is used primarily for protection, & to purify the environment & banish negativity. It has a lovely, fresh scent, & is said to bring a joyful energy into the home. Often burned in conjunction with, or after using sage.
To burn, simply light the end of the braid, blowing out the flame & allowing the sweetgrass to smoulder, or alternatively cut small pieces of the herb & place on a lit charcoal disc. The smoke from the burning sweetgrass can then be wafted to your chosen areas by the hand or traditionally with a feather.
Each braid measures 18-22", & burns for approx. 30 mins. Can be cut & re-used if wished.
